You have likely seen that Windows 11 was officially released last week as a free upgrade for newer PCs. Primary IT will not be upgrading any managed PC to Windows 11 yet, due to a need for testing and ensuring that the new operating system is compatible with our tools, and the applications you use. This includes the sale and installation of new PCs.
We will send out additional communication around a plan for Windows 11 deployment in Q1 2022.

When is Windows 11 released?
5 October 2021: The launch date for Windows 11. New PCs can be sold with Windows 11 installed.
When does support for Windows 10 End?
October 2025: Windows 10 will cease to be supported, and running it becomes a security risk. We will make sure you are on a new version of Windows well before this date.
