Hi All,
Significant changes are coming to Microsoft’s subscription plans for Office 365 from July 2022, called Microsoft’s “New Commerce Experience”, or ‘NCE.’ Bundled into this, is a general price increase from Microsoft for many of its services.
What does this mean for me?
- A general increase in price of approximately 15% – 25% for the following plans: Office 365 E1, Office 365 E3, Office 365 E5, Microsoft 365 E3, Microsoft 365 Business Basic and Microsoft 365 Business Standard. Microsoft have not released exact NZ$ pricing yet – this will come in mid February, and we will provide updated pricing then.
- In addition to the above, an additional 20% price increase/premium for all month-to-month (no term) Microsoft 365 plans, which most customers are on. Microsoft is trying to encourage customers to sign up to termed plans rather than remain month-to-month.
Term options broken down – we recommend a move to a mix of Monthly and 12-month subscriptions
What will we be doing for our customers?
We will also be assisting all customers with an audit before this date of their Microsoft licensing, to ensure you will not be paying for any additional licenses or features you do not need. We will also be in contact around which recommended model we move you to – likely a mixed model of Monthly and 12-monthly subscriptions to get both the value savings and flexibility.
